Leticia Corona Gomez, 32, of Selma, has been appointed small business specialist in the Office of the Small Business Advocate at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. Corona Gomez has been global development and population fellow at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation since 2017. She is a board member of the University of California, Berkeley Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association and co-chair of the San Joaquin Valley Chapter. She is executive board vice-president of the Community Assistance Foundation for Empowerment.

Alzheimer’s won’t stop ex-Vikings QB Joe Kapp from joining Super Bowl IV teammates
Joe Kapp’s son has been reminding the former quarterback for several months about the upcoming 50-year reunion for the Vikings’ first Super Bowl team, but it hasn’t sunk in. There is a reason for that. Kapp, 81, has Alzheimer’s Disease and has difficulty remembering things. The hope is some memories will be stirred when Kapp runs into former teammates at the Super Bowl IV reunion. |
